Our Mission

IAM Sportswear has a mission to create low cost, high quality sportswear. We actively market to athletes and non-athletes alike and thrive on word-of-mouth from our customers.

We believe every athlete deserves quality merchandise and should not have to pay and arm and a leg for it. Basketball tournamets are one of our major marketing tools. We continue to thrive because of our customer base and look forward to bringing our tournaments to a town near you!!

Our History

IAM Sportswear was founded in 1999 by a partnership between four high school friends. Phillip W. Vasser, Khalid L. Parrett, Spencer L. Ivy and Derrick Shephard all attended G. W. Carver High School on the southside of Chicago. After college, Phillip came up with the idea for IAM and the rest was history.

For the past four years IAM has promoted and thrown events such as tournaments, celebrity games and other community events. IAM Sportswear has an obligation to the community and donates profits from each of its events back to neighborhood organizations.
